Editorial standards

Every factual claim about an exam — content areas, section weights, question formats, scoring, fees, eligibility, effective dates — must be supported by an official primary source: the certification body's own published blueprint, syllabus, handbook or fee schedule. Each page stores the sources that support its claims, and they are listed on the page itself.

Secondary sources (news coverage, forums, other prep providers) may inform context but may never be the sole support for a factual claim. Where an official position is ambiguous or in transition, the page says so explicitly rather than presenting a guess as fact. We do not claim affiliation with, or endorsement by, AICPA, NASBA, IMA or The IIA; we cite their publications as the independent official record they are.

Every editorial page shows who authored it and who reviewed it. At present, both are attributed to organizational identities: content is authored by the Certuvo Editorial Team and reviewed by the Certuvo Editorial Board. That organizational attribution is disclosed as exactly what it is — we do not dress it up as individual bylines.

Named individual author and reviewer attribution is pending a contributor verification programme, under which contributors' identities and relevant credentials will be verified before their names appear on pages. Until that programme is live, we consider an honest organizational byline better than an invented personal one, and we will not fabricate credentials, headshots or biographies to appear more authoritative.

No page is published on a single person's say-so. Every page passes three recorded review stages before approval:

1. Technical review — structure, links, metadata, accessibility and rendering.
2. Subject-matter review — correctness of the exam and accounting content against the official sources.
3. Claims review — a line-by-line check that every factual claim has a stored, current official source, and that no unsupported claim survives.

Each stage is recorded in the CMS workflow with its outcome. The content review process describes the pipeline in full.

Every page displays three dates: when it was first published, when it was last reviewed, and when its next scheduled review is due. These dates are workflow records, not decoration — the last-reviewed date changes only when a review has actually been completed and recorded. We do not bump dates to look fresh.

Content must track the official material it describes. Every page carries a scheduled re-review, and official changes trigger earlier updates under the exam blueprint update policy: an impact assessment within 14 days of an official announcement, affected pages flagged for update, and revisions recorded in each page's change history and the public changelog. A page that cannot be brought current is unpublished rather than left to mislead.

Readers are entitled to know what interests sit behind a page:

• Commercial interest. Certuvo is a commercial exam-prep platform. Editorial pages that relate to our paid products say so; we do not present product material as independent advice.
• Independence. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a partner of AICPA, NASBA, IMA or The IIA, and no page may state or imply otherwise. Certification names are used to identify the exams they refer to.
• AI assistance. AI is used in drafting under mandatory human review, disclosed in the AI content policy.

The following are prohibited outright, in any form and for any reason:

• Invented statistics, including pass rates, study-hour figures or salary numbers not drawn from a citable source.
• Fabricated testimonials, reviews or success stories.
• Pass-rate or outcome claims about Certuvo users that we cannot verify from real data.
• Placeholder pages published to occupy a search result before their content is complete and reviewed.
• Comparisons with other providers based on claims we have not verified.

A page found in breach of these standards — by internal review or by a report under the corrections policy — is corrected promptly or unpublished until it can be. Material corrections are disclosed with a dated note on the page and an entry in the public changelog. These standards apply to every editorial page on the site, including this one.
